Clouds

Tammy Zebruck has a great gift for painting water so, people may be a bit surprised when they see a canvas like this one, with no water showing at all! But never fear… the water in this one is just below the surface of this floating bog. You’d know that if you could only step into the scene and walk a few steps on the thick layer of peat. The whole bog would begin to move with you. These big fens are everywhere in Northwestern Ontario, almost as ubiquitous as open water. Far from being a blight on the landscape, in spring they are often full of exotic wildflowers like Pitcher Plants, Orchids and Sundews, and in the fall some are full of Low-bush Cranberries.
