The Proverse Prize – Enter Now, Writers!

For over a decade now, Elizabeth Campbell Books has represented Proverse Hong Kong’s diverse collection of authors in a variety of genres. We bring their books in directly from Hong Kong, and this is one of the few places in Canada you can find their titles.

Every year, Proverse has a competition for poetry and prose. It’s a great way for them to find new talent, and for budding authors to break into the literary world. This year, we thought we’d help them promote their prize. Please read about it below, and feel welcome to visit the links to submit your entry/entries.

GET YOUR WORK PUBLISHED INTERNATIONALLY FROM HONG KONG!

The International Proverse Prizes for writing submitted in English and previously unpublished in English (may be in translation), close for entry on 30 June. The Proverse Prize for single-author book-length non-fiction, fiction, or poetry (now in its 10th year) offers a cash prize of HKD10,000.00 (approx = $1700 CAD) and publication. The Proverse Poetry Prize for single poems (this is its fourth edition) offers cash prizes and anthology publication.

For those who are at least 18 years old. Otherwise, entry is open to all, whatever their place of birth, residence, nationality or citizenship.

Canadians have previously won publication through entering for the Proverse Prize for book-length works and have also won places in the Proverse Poetry Prize Anthology.
